Job summary

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse to support behavioral and physical health patients across our service area. The role involves administering medications, performing screenings, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.

Ideal candidates will hold an accredited nursing degree, possess RN licensure, and have experience in psychiatric or behavioral health settings.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental or behavioral health services preferred.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned service area.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Address behavioral and physical health needs of clients with psychiatric symptoms.
• Perform health screenings and monitor vital signs.
• Administer injections and medications as needed.
• Monitor and manage medication regimens and educate clients on pharmaceuticals.
• Gather client information and history from the Nurse Practitioner.
• Coordinate case management and community services.
• Assist clients in developing skills like emotion, stress and anger management, communication, and relationships.

Responsibilities may include:

• Address the behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms.
• Perform health care screenings and check vital signs.
• Administering injections and other medications as needed.
• Monitor and administer medication.
• Educate clients on pharmaceuticals.
• Gather client information and history from the Nurse Practitioner.
• Case management duties including coordination of community services.
• Assist clients in building skills including emotion, stress and anger management, communication and interpersonal relationships.

Requirements for this position include:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services.
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area.
• Preferably has experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
