Elara Caring in Massachusetts seeks a Registered Nurse, Behavioral Health, to provide in-home psychiatric care across Amherst, North Hampton, Springfield, Chicopee and surrounding communities. You will assess patients, develop and update personalized care plans, and coordinate with physicians and the care team to ensure safe, compassionate treatment.

• Home Health experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and travel between patient homes.

To continue to be an industry pioneer delivering unparalleled care, we need a Registered Nurse Behavioral Health with commitment and compassion. As a Registered Nurse Behavioral Health, you’ll contribute to our success in the following ways:

• Assess patients’ physical, emotional, social, and environmental needs.


• Manage a caseload and develop, coordinate, and update individualized care plans.


• Complete initial assessments and provide ongoing evaluations during patient visits.


• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes with physicians, supervisors, and the care team.


• Update care plans based on patients’ changing needs.


• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the plan of care and behavioral health support.


• Teach behavioral health care and symptom management to staff in partner care settings.


• Supervise and support Behavioral Health Aides and LPNs while ensuring quality care.


• Report safety concerns or other issues to supervisors as needed.


• Provide compassionate end-of-life support and complete bereavement assessments.

What is Required?

• Current State license as a Registered Nurse.


• Graduate of an accredited Certificate, Diploma, Associates or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.


• 1+ year of experience as a nurse in a clinical care setting.


• Home Health experience is preferred, but not required.


• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment.


• Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, OR have reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations.

The base salary for this position is $85,000 to $90,000 annually based on the company’s good faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual pay will be determined based on factors such as education, experience, skills, and internal equity. Benefit eligibility can vary by position and shift status.
