Prime Healthcare seeks an RN Intake Coordinator to coordinate admissions for psychiatric and behavioral health services at Riverview Regional Medical Center – Gadsden, AL. The role involves clinical assessments, gathering patient information, and ensuring appropriate level-of-care placement.
The position requires an RN license, a BSN/MS degree preferred, and BCLS certification. Two years in inpatient psych care and two in care-coordination are expected. 8-hour day shifts, full-time, on-site.

The Psychiatric Intake Coordinator (RN) is a registered nurse who is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the admission process for patients seeking psychiatric and behavioral health services. This role performs clinical assessments, gathers patient information, collaborates with providers, and ensures appropriate level-of-care placement while maintaining compliance with regulatory and standards. The intake coordinator serves as the key point of contact for patients, families, referral sources and internal care teams. This individual will also be responsible for marketing and conducting outreach and educational visits to local healthcare facilities to increase awareness of the organization’s psychiatric services.
