Job summary

Endeavor Health is hiring a PSR Lead in the Oak Park/Elmhurst area. The position is full-time (40 hours) with hours Mon-Fri 7:45a-4:15p and potential travel to Elmhurst.

Responsibilities include staffing schedules, daily workflow leadership for PSRs and physicians, patient registration, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling at multiple sites. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in a medical office setting, with preferred insurance/managed care experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED - Required.
• Minimum of 1 year business office or clinic experience - Required.
• Previous insurance and managed care experience - Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews department work schedules to ensure that all scheduled employees are present during their scheduled shift.
• Leads daily workflow processes. Serves as point person for daily workflow for PSRs, supervisor and physicians at site(s).
• Assists staff with handling work-related concerns/issues.
• Monitors performance of staff in order to ensure work is carried out in accordance with established policies.
• Alerts supervisor of staff infractions in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Receives and records patient payments made at time of service and balances daily receipts.
• Greets patients and patient families arriving for scheduled appointments and registers patient information.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and advises patients of covered benefits.
• Schedules all appointments including patient visits and tests.
• May assist patients with scheduling off site diagnostic tests via Central Scheduling.
