Job summary

CJ Schwan’s is seeking a seasoned PSM/RMP professional to ensure regulatory compliance and safe operation of ammonia refrigeration systems across facilities. You will coordinate hazard analyses, maintain procedures, and support incident investigations while mentoring junior staff.

You’ll apply knowledge of IIAR, NEC, ASME, and BPVC standards, with travel up to 50% to support multiple sites. A strong background in safety program implementation is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Safety/ Environmental /Safety Science / Engineering or related area.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• Expertise in State/Federal EPA and OSHA compliance requirements and procedures.
• Experience with ammonia systems and PSM/RMP programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports compliance with OSHA’s Process Safety Management Standard and EPA’s RMP provisions.
• Provides coaching and development for junior PSM staff.
• Manages PSM elements documentation and incident investigations.
• Leads internal and external compliance audits for PSM and RMP.
• Develops maintenance plans and reliability programs for refrigeration systems.
