Job summary

CJ Schwan’s is seeking a seasoned process-safety professional to lead PSM and RMP compliance for ammonia refrigeration systems. You’ll coordinate inspections, hazard analyses, and incident investigations while supporting multiple facilities and mentoring junior staff.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in EPA/OSHA regulations, PSM experience, and the ability to travel up to 50% to support operations and safety initiatives across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety/Environmental/Safety Science/Engineering or related area.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• Expertise in EPA and OSHA compliance requirements.
• Experience in PSM, ammonia systems preferred.
• Experience implementing safety programs in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Supports compliance with OSHA PSM and EPA RMP regulations and related standards.
• Leads internal PSM/RMP incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Develops and manages inspection, testing and PM plans for ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Mentors junior PSM staff and coordinates across facilities.
• Travel domestically up to 50% as needed.
