PSM & Process Safety Lead Engineer

Job summary

Calumet in Louisiana seeks a PSM Engineer to drive PSM/RMP program compliance at the site, interact with plant personnel, develop and update procedures, coordinate audits, and manage Change Management. This role partners with operations, maintenance and reliability to strengthen process safety systems.

You will lead Hazard Analyses, track actions, and support learning from incidents across the site, while ensuring conformity with federal/state requirements and corporate goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of refinery process engineering experience.
• Familiar with OSHA PSM, PHA, PSSR, MOC.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Drive and steward the PSM program across the site.
• Coordinate MOC and Safe Operating Limits (SOLs).
• Lead/participate in Process Hazard Analysis reviews.
• Coordinate RMP updates and training for CSR employees.
• Assist in HSE incident investigations and follow-up.
