Job summary

Westlake Vinyls in Geismar, Louisiana, seeks a seasoned HSE engineer to lead our PSM/RMP programs, owning goals, standards, and expectations and driving continuous improvement across plant operations.

A B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is required, with 8+ years in refinery or chemical plant environments; experience with PHA and Safety Instrumented Systems preferred. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead Westlake Vinyls’ PSM program and act as SME on PSM/RMP.
• Develop and implement goals, standards, policies for PSM program and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain knowledge of PSM/RMP regulations and interpretations.
• Oversee and improve PHA processes and action closure.
• Assist investigations of accidents and near-misses; use RCA methods.
