The Department of Pediatrics South Main Clinic (SMC) has an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse (RN) who shares our vision and passion for caring for women, children, and adults. The RN plays a critical role on the care team, facilitating the efficient delivery of patient care while supporting the professional and academic mission of the pediatric residency continuity clinic.
The South Main Clinic serves a largely underserved population, with over 60% of children from Spanish-speaking families and 25% uninsured. With over 10,500 pediatric visits annually, providers deliver culturally-aware primary care, utilizing programs like WIC, county immunizations, Medicaid, pharmacy vouchers for uninsured children, and literacy programs. The clinic also cares for medically complex children within a collaborative medical home model.
This role involves delivering professional nursing care, assessing patient status, implementing interventions, and evaluating care plans to improve outcomes and ensure safety.
Must be Fluent in Spanish.
The clinic is located at 3690 South Main Street, Salt Lake City, UT.

The RN makes practice decisions within policies, standards, and laws, handling patient and family issues, crisis management, and prioritization, while maintaining safety and infection control standards.
Must have current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential within 30 days of hire, and RN license in Utah or eligible through interstate compact within 90 days. Additional certifications like ACLS, PALS, or NRP are preferred within one year. Immunization according to CDC standards is required.
