Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Practice Performance Manager to drive provider performance through program implementation and STARs-related initiatives. The role requires traveling up to 75% within the Greenville, AL/Southeast AL markets to engage care providers, educate on tools and programs, and lead incentive efforts to close gaps in HEDIS and other measures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of healthcare industry experience.
• 3+ years of experience working for a health plan and/or for a provider's office.
• 1+ years of STARs experience.
• Experience in managed care working with network and provider relations/contracting.
• Solid knowledge of electronic medical record systems.
• Solid knowledge of the Medicare market.
• Knowledge base of clinical standards of care, preventive health, and Stars measures.
• Solid financial analytical background within Medicare Advantage plans (Risk Adjustment/STARS Calculation models).
• Microsoft Office specialist with exceptional analytical and data representation expertise; Advanced Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills.
• Must be able to travel within local territory up to 75%.
• Driver's License and access to a reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Work with care providers to build relationships and provide education and reporting.
• Identify performance improvement opportunities through analysis and discussion with SMEs; influence provider behavior.
• Travel across territory to discuss UHG tools and programs for improving care.
• Execute provider incentive programs for health plan.
• Develop provider-specific plans to increase HEDIS performance and outcomes.
• Provide ongoing coaching and training on program implementation and barriers.
• Lead Stars-focused meetings with provider groups to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide reporting to health plan leadership on progress of performance and gap closure.
• Coordinate meetings and prepare materials for plan leadership and provider groups.
