Job summary

Slocum-Dickson Medical Group is seeking a Credentialing Assistant to support the credentialing process and recruitment activities. The role includes assembling provider application packets, obtaining licenses, creating credential files, and maintaining credentialing software with up-to-date verifications.

The candidate will handle monthly re-credentialing verifications, assist with reappointments, and participate in OSHA training as part of orientation and ongoing compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school, knowledge of general office procedures, computer experience, knowledge of current Microsoft OS, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and related programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with credentialing duties for providers and support Recruitment and Credentialing Manager.
• Provide new providers with application packets and assist with licensure documentation as needed.
• Create credentials files and scan provider documents for recovery and credentialing software.
• Maintain credentialing system with current documents and verifications.
• Monitor expiring credentials and complete re-credentialing verifications monthly using government sites.
• Attend OSHA training during orientation and annually complete OSHA competency.
