Job summary

Slocum Dickson Medical Group is seeking a Credentialing Assistant to support the Recruitment and Credentialing Manager. You will handle provider onboarding, licensing, credentialing files, and data entry in credentialing software.

You will perform verifications, monitor credential expirations, complete recredentialing, and ensure timely submissions. OSHA training is required, and responsibilities include scanning and maintaining confidential information.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school and knowledge of general office procedures.
• Ability to analyze problems and arrive at logical conclusions in work content.
• Maintaining strict confidentiality of all matters, oral or written.

Responsibilities

• Provide new providers with application packets for completion.
• Obtain licenses and DEAs if required.
• Create credentials files and input data into credentialing software.
• Scan provider files for recovery and credentialing purposes.
• Obtain verifications and complete credentials files for approval.
• Monitor expiring credentials and update systems with current documents.
• Create reappointment applications and perform verifications for re-credentialing.
• Complete monthly verifications via government websites.
• Attend OSHA training during orientation and annually; may be exposed to hazardous drugs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
