Job summary

UnitedHealthcare is hiring a Provider Advocate to serve as the primary contact for healthcare providers. The role includes resolving issues across calls and chats, navigating multiple systems, and promoting self-service tools to improve provider satisfaction.

This is a full-time 40-hour role with shifts during 10:35am–7:05pm EST, Monday–Friday. Training spans 11 weeks, conducted virtually from home, with attendance required.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with customer service and medical provider interactions is preferred.
• Ability to handle 50-70 calls/chats daily with focus and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as provider advocate resolving issues on first contact when possible.
• Support providers via calls, dual chats, and email.
• Triage inquiries from healthcare professionals and provide information on benefits, billing, authorizations, and EOBs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and communicate updates.
• Navigate 30+ systems to extract needed information and resolve issues.
