Powerex-Iwata Air Technology Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. The role emphasizes hands-on testing of air compressors, prototyping, and collaboration with engineers to ensure product reliability.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; some secondary schooling preferred.
Experience with product testing methodologies is a plus.
Strong ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

Conduct testing on air compressors following established procedures and protocols.
Perform teardowns of air compressor components for inspection and analysis.
Document findings accurately in test result reports.
Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to guide product development and testing.
Develop and optimize 3D printing parameters and plasma cutting settings for various materials.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
Set up lathe, mill, and other fabrication equipment to produce prototype parts with precision.
Troubleshoot issues during prototyping and teardown inspections and propose solutions.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment in the machine shop.
