Job summary

Re:Build Manufacturing in Rochester, NY is seeking a Technical Specialist to fabricate prototype wire harnesses, manage components, and provide manufacturability feedback as part of an agile team.

You will read wiring diagrams, track BOMs, operate Cadonix Arcadia, and support process improvements with strong attention to quality, documentation, and safety. This on-site role offers competitive hourly pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent; 0–2 years experience.
• Wiring harness assembly: crimping, soldering, routing.
• Read wiring diagrams and BOMs; IPC/WHMA-A-620 awareness a plus.
• Willing to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate initial prototype wire harnesses from engineering drawings.
• Lead component inventory, ordering, receiving, and verification.
• Create travelers and document QC checks for each harness.
• Provide design-for-manufacturing feedback to improve build efficiency and cost.
• Run the Cadonix Arcadia part database and manage data/permissions.
• Maintain assembly area layout, tools, and calibration records.
• Collaborate during prototypes and builds to drive improvements.
