Job summary

MaXentric Technologies LLC in California is seeking an experienced NPI Manufacturing Engineer to lead the transition of advanced radio systems from prototype to production. You will manage a hybrid model with US-based partners and in-house final assembly and testing lines.

The role requires 3+ years in NPI manufacturing for complex electronics, hardware, or RF systems, with a strong focus on high-mix, low-volume production and DFMs to improve yield.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, specifically in an NPI capacity for complex electronics, hardware, or RF systems.
• Experience in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of electro-mechanical assembly, PCBA manufacturing processes, and hardware integration.
• Experience working with domestic suppliers, machine shops, and contract manufacturers.
• Track record of collaborating with R&D, Test Engineers, and floor technicians.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for fixtures and tooling.

Responsibilities

• In-House Assembly Setup: design the layout, workflow, and stations for the final assembly line; create SOPs and build instructions for production technicians.
• Drive NPI (High-Mix, Low-Volume): lead manufacturing launches across multiple radio product lines from prototype to initial production batches.
• Design for Manufacturability (DFM): collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to review designs and suggest tweaks to simplify assembly, reduce cost, and improve yield.
• Collaborative Testing: work with Test Engineering to integrate RF and electronic testing into final assembly processes.
• Domestic Supply Chain Management: identify, evaluate, and manage US-based contract manufacturers and components suppliers; travel is minimal and domestic.
• Tooling & Fixturing: specify, design, or procure jigs, fixtures, and tooling for efficient in-house assembly.
