Maxonic seeks an NPI Mechanical Engineer to support new product introductions and production transitions in Nashville, TN. You will collaborate with R&D, Taiwan design teams, and local manufacturing to resolve mechanical issues and ensure manufacturability.

The candidate should have 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience, CAD proficiency (Creo/Pro-E), GD&T knowledge, and hands-on experience with fixtures, sheet metal, and plastic components, with onsite duties and light lifting up to 30

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional mechanical engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawings.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and customer support.
• Analyze and resolve mechanical issues with design teams to determine root causes.
• Manage transition of NPI products into production ensuring manufacturability and assembly readiness.
• Design and validate testing fixtures, jigs, and mechanical components for new projects and production needs.
• Provide design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) feedback to improve quality and efficiency.
• Review drawings and specs for accuracy, tolerances, and standards compliance.
• Perform stress, fit, and tolerance analyses to ensure reliability.
• Conduct failure analyses and propose corrective actions for mechanical issues.
• Support tooling, sheet metal, and plastic component design and inspection.
• Document and update SOPs and test plans.
• Bridge communication between Taiwan design teams and U.S. production teams.
• Contribute to cost reduction and process improvement in mechanical design and manufacturing.
