Job summary

thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America, Inc. in Hamilton, OH is seeking a Team Leader for Manufacturing Engineering to guide daily operations, improve processes, safety, quality, and efficiency in a lean manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include directing the team in troubleshooting, equipment qualification, and training, while coordinating with multiple departments to ensure readiness and on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience managing a team.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (6S, Kaizen, SMED, VSM).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with equipment qualification and preventive maintenance.
• Data-driven problem solving and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead the manufacturing engineering team to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement projects and process optimization.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Product Engineering and Logistics.
• Develop and maintain PFMEAs and other quality initiatives.
• Train and mentor staff on process improvements and changes.
• Track budgets and project costs to meet deadlines.
