Job summary

Ultradent is seeking an Engineering Technician III to join our Research & Development team in Salt Lake City. The role focuses on building, testing, and evaluating prototypes and fixtures, collaborating with engineers to turn ideas into working hardware.

You will work with CAD, manual machining, electronics, 3D printing, and experimental hardware in a dynamic lab environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical ability, experience with machine building and prototyping, and a strong eye

Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical ability.
Experience with machine building, mechanical assembly, prototyping, or related technical work.
Experience with manual machining, including lathes and mills.
Familiarity with testing methods and accurate data collection.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

Responsibilities

Build, modify, troubleshoot, and evaluate prototypes, test fixtures, equipment, and mechanical assemblies.
Support product and process development through laboratory testing and experimentation.
Perform tests according to established procedures and accurately collect, record, and communicate results.
Operate manual machining equipment, including lathes and mills.
Document project progress and results, and communicate observations to engineers.
