Job summary

Ellaway Blues Consulting partners with a Fort Worth, TX-based advanced manufacturing operation to identify a Prototyping Supervisor who will lead a hands-on team supporting a pilot-scale manufacturing line.

The role focuses on supervising technicians, coordinating workloads, and ensuring quality, safety, and schedules while collaborating with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and EHS to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations or a similar hands-on production environment.
• Previous experience supervising, managing, and training technicians or operators.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience scheduling, prioritizing, and delegating work to meet production deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and EHS teams.
• Experience with metals or ceramics manufacturing, including casting, powder processing, heat treatment, machining, or surface finishing, is highly preferred.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, or similar methodologies is a plus.
• Experience handling air-sensitive materials is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, train, and develop a team of manufacturing technicians/operators.
• Coordinate technician workloads and redeploy resources as necessary to meet production schedules.
• Monitor manufacturing processes, product yields, quality, and labor efficiency.
• Remain hands-on with the operation and maintenance of pilot-scale manufacturing/prototyping equipment.
• Develop and maintain production procedures, work instructions, and standardized processes.
• Partner closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and EHS teams to troubleshoot process deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Drive a clean, organized, safe, and high-performing manufacturing environment.

We are partnering with a rapidly growing advanced manufacturing organization in Fort Worth, TX to identify a Prototyping Supervisor to join its technology and manufacturing operations.

This is a highly hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising and developing a team of technicians supporting a pilot-scale manufacturing operation.
