Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Production Supervisor in Fort Worth, TX to lead a manufacturing team and meet safety, quality, and production targets. You will oversee day-to-day operations, enforce process controls, coordinate scheduling and tooling, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize throughput and reduce waste.

You will coach and train operators, troubleshoot machinery, and partner with engineering and maintenance to ensure reliable operation of parts and tooling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on manufacturing experience with 5+ years in a supervisory/lead role.
• Proven ability to coach, train, and develop operators.
• Experience with Lean and Six Sigma principles.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand tooling changes.

Responsibilities

• Lead production shift to meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets with safety and quality.
• Schedule work, coordinate staffing and overtime to meet demand.
• Coach and train operators on standard work and safety procedures.
• Monitor processes and quality, implement corrective actions to reduce scrap.
• Troubleshoot machinery and collaborate with maintenance and engineering for repairs.
• Apply Lean/Six Sigma to identify waste and improve throughput.
• Manage inventory of parts and tooling to minimize downtime.
• Maintain production records and use ERP/MRP for tracking.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Drive cross-functional communication to resolve issues and implement changes.

Position Overview

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading a manufacturing team to meet safety, quality, and production targets. This role oversees day-to-day production operations, enforces process controls, coordinates scheduling and tooling, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to optimize throughput and reduce waste. The Production Supervisor coaches and trains operators, troubleshoots machinery and components, and partners with engineering and maintenance to ensure reliable operation of parts, machines, and tooling.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise production shift to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Schedule work assignments, coordinate staffing and shift coverage, and manage overtime to meet production demands.
• Coach, mentor, and train operators on standard work, machine operation, tooling changes, part handling, and safety procedures.
• Monitor production processes and product quality; implement corrective actions and process improvements to reduce scrap and rework.
• Troubleshoot machinery, tooling, and production line issues; collaborate with maintenance and engineering for timely repairs and root‑cause analysis.
• Apply Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to identify waste, streamline processes, and improve throughput and efficiency.
• Manage inventory of parts, co­mponents, and tooling to minimize downt­ime and ensure material availability for production runs.
• Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and performance metrics; use ERP/MRP systems for scheduling and production tracking.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Drive cross‑functional communication with quality, engineering, maintenance, and supply chain teams to resolve issues and implement engineering changes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; Bachelors degree preferred.
• 3+ years of hands‑on manufacturing experience and at least 5 years in a supervisory or lead role in a production environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes, part handling, components, tooling, and machine operation. Ideally, aluminum extrusion.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing tools and Six Sigma methodology (Green Belt preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical and process issues quickly.
• Experience with production scheduling, capacity planning, and ERP/MRP systems.
• Excellent coaching, training, and team development skills with a focus on performance management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross‑functionally and lead change.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and basic manufacturing documentation; familiarity with tooling setup and changeover procedures.
