Job summary

Lenovo seeks a skilled Hardware Development Lab Technician to support server hardware development, prototype assembly and day-to-day lab operations in North Carolina.

You will assemble, configure and modify prototype servers, perform rework with soldering, manage parts orders and inventory, ensure safety and quality standards, and coordinate with procurement, vendors and engineers to keep projects on schedule in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, computer hardware or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience assembling, repairing or troubleshooting server hardware.
• Familiarity with soldering, desoldering and electronic hardware rework.
• Ability to read technical drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, configure and modify prototype server systems per engineering specs.
• Perform board-level and cable-level rework including soldering.
• Order electronic components and manage lab inventory and purchases.
• Coordinate with procurement, finance, engineering teams and suppliers.
