Job summary

Magna Seating is seeking a Prototype Buyer to drive supplier selection, price analysis, and on-time delivery for seat-complete programs and related JIT/Structural assemblies. You will coordinate with engineering, program managers and vendors to secure competitive quotes and maintain BOM accuracy.

Responsibilities include issuing purchase orders, evaluating quotes from multiple suppliers, managing tool and part costs, and ensuring ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 compliance across remote sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Three (3) years preferred experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Strong communication skills: verbal and written and technical presentations.
• Basic competency in CAD; proficient with word processing, spreadsheets and databases.

Responsibilities

• Procure prototype parts within budget and on time.
• Obtain quotes from multiple suppliers and compare.
• Maintain bill of materials, supplier lists and cost tracking for programs.
• Ensure ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 compliance across programs.
