Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Power Electronics Prototype Builds Technician to join our team. You will support the assembly, validation, and continuous improvement of prototype electrical and mechanical systems with cross-functional engineering teams.

The role emphasizes building complex prototype assemblies, ensuring traceability, and using Jira for documentation and progress tracking in a fast-paced environment. A strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement is required.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electrical circuits and mechanical assembly.
• Experience supporting prototype manufacturing in fast-paced engineering environments.
• Familiarity with Jira or similar work management systems for documentation and traceability.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and 5S.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Build and integrate complex prototype electrical and mechanical assemblies per drawings and evolving design requirements.
• Perform prototype builds from incoming material inspection through final validation while ensuring quality and traceability.
• Conduct low-voltage electrical integration, PCB handling, and subsystem installation.
• Diagnose assembly and integration issues and implement corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Support multiple prototype programs and document build progress in Jira; maintain documentation and traceability.
