Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking an Engineering Technician to support prototype PCBAs by setting up and operating automated SMT equipment. The role involves collaborating with the Rapid PCBA team to ensure material readiness, provide feedback, and maintain high quality in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

You will read PCBA drawings, identify components and values, and assist in continuous improvement while maintaining a safe workspace in our Electronics Laboratory.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two-year technical training; related work experience may substitute.
• Strong knowledge of operating and troubleshooting automated SMT equipment.
• Ability to read PCBA assembly drawings and build documents.
• IPC knowledge.
• Must identify electronic components, polarity, values, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate automated assembly equipment for prototype PCBAs.
• Collaborate with Rapid PCBA team on material readiness and setup status.
• Provide post-assembly manufacturing feedback on best practices.
• Assist in preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Communicate project delays and updates effectively.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Work to improve productivity while maintaining quality.
• Assist in continuous improvement and process implementation.
