Job summary

Haworth is seeking a Model Shop Intern to join our Holland, MI campus for a 12-week summer program. You’ll work on real projects using CNC, Brake Press, Lathe, manual mills, woodworking equipment, hand tools, paint guns, sewing machines, welders, and 3D printers.

You’ll participate in workshops, engage with mentors, and attend NeoCon as part of a rich intern experience designed to build practical skills, professional networks, and exposure to showroom-quality outputs.

Qualifications

• Part-time or full-time college enrollment who have completed or will complete an associate's degree in Prototype and Design or Model Design by the Fall of 2027.
• Ability to work On-site in Holland, MI from May 2027 to August 2027.
• Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for the position.
• Ability to bend and climb.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs alone, and up to 100 lbs with accommodations.
• Ability to read blueprints, utilize geometry, and calculate tolerances.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Woodworking, Metal Fabrication, Welding, and Surface Finishing.
