Job summary

Haworth, Inc. in Holland, Michigan, is offering a paid Manufacturing Engineering Intern position at our Wood Plant. The 12-week summer program places you with a cohort of interns, engaging in meaningful projects and learning opportunities, including NeoCon and AI tooling workshops.

Interns work on updating safety protocols, optimizing yields, and supporting process improvements while gaining hands-on experience on the production floor alongside experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Part-time or full-time college enrollment, junior status by Fall 2027.
• On-site in Holland, MI May 2027–August 2027.
• Unrestricted right to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Assist with updating lockout/tagout procedures and safety processes.
• Support material yield optimization to reduce waste and scrap.
• Participate in quality and safety improvement initiatives.
• Conduct compressed air audits and identify efficiency gains.
• Assist manufacturing process improvements on the production floor.
