Bosch USA in Waltham, MA is seeking a hands-on Prototype Technician to support engineering by manufacturing prototype components and improving fabrication processes. You will work with 3-axis CNC milling, manual machines, and various fabrication methods to build and test parts.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in prototype or manufacturing environments, strong CAD skills (SolidWorks) and CNC programming experience (Mastercam preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in prototype/manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CNC milling and CNC programming.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds safely.
• Experience with SolidWorks and Mastercam preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture prototype components to support new product development.
• Program, set up, and operate 3-axis CNC milling.
• Fabricate non-CNC components using manual machining equipment.
• Perform post-processing, inspections, and quality verification.
• Assemble fabricated components into functional prototype assemblies.
• Collaborate with engineers and recommend fabrication improvements.
• Estimate timelines, prioritize work, and communicate status.
• Perform preventive maintenance and restock tools.
• Work in conformance with safety standards and quality systems.
