Job summary

Creare seeks a Fabrication Technician with strong hands-on skills in machining, welding, prototyping, assembly, and mechanical construction for engineering prototypes and test facilities. You will fabricate mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic assemblies and components, and perform manual machining, welding, cutting, plumbing, and assembly.

You will assist with CAD-driven fabrication, interpret drawings and verify tolerances, maintain shop spaces and tools, and support engineers with prototype

Qualifications

• Hands-on fabrication experience in machining, welding, and assembly.
• Engineering Technology degree or equivalent hands-on prototyping experience.
• Ability to interpret and modify CAD drawings.
• Commitment to organization, communication, and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic assemblies and components.
• Perform manual machining (mills, lathes, grinders), welding, cutting, plumbing, and mechanical assembly.
• Build fixtures, prototypes, and custom tooling.
• Assist with CAD-driven fabrication (interpret drawings, verify tolerances).
• Maintain shop equipment, tools, and fabrication spaces.
• Support engineers with prototype development and facility modifications.
