Job summary

TEAM Industries in Minnesota is seeking a Prototype Machinist - Moderate to join the manufacturing team. You will build and machine prototype components, collaborate with engineering and production, and assist in training Entry and Intermediate level personnel.

Responsibilities include studying blueprints, setting up CNC hob, lathes and mills, ensuring tolerances, and supporting Advanced Quality Planning. Regular attendance and safety commitment are required.

Qualifications

Two-year technical degree preferred.
Strong knowledge of tolerancing, including GD&T, to explain to co-workers and operators.
Proficient in Prototype Machinist-Intermediate Level.
Proficient in AutoCad for layout of programming points.
Thorough knowledge of heat treating processes.
Advanced knowledge of proper cutting tool selection and speeds/feeds.
Working knowledge of geometry and trigonomety relationships.
Able to train Entry and Intermediate Level Prototype Machinists in basics including various machines and inspection equipment.
Regular attendance required.

Responsibilities

Study blueprints to determine machining needs and plan layouts.
Set up and operate CNC hob, lathes, and mills; program tool paths and fixture designs.
Work with Advanced Quality Planning teams to identify problems and cost reduction ideas.
Design and fabricate hydraulic and pneumatic fixtures for prototype and production processes.
Lead training for Entry and Intermediate level Prototype Machinists.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; follow safety rules.
