Job summary

Wayfair is seeking a Creative Technologist in Oklahoma City to explore technology‑driven retail solutions. You will shape standards in home and retail tech, build prototypes, and produce compelling case studies that reveal impact from ideation to shipping.

You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, publish thought pieces, and contribute to Wayfair’s innovation branding. A Bachelor's degree is required, with 8+ years in R&D preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience turning concepts into working prototypes.
• Ability to validate ideas through rapid prototyping and case studies.
• Familiarity with home, retail tech, and emerging platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Discover and develop standards in home & retail using emerging tech (AR, visual computing, ML).
• Identify high-impact opportunities and build prototypes to validate concepts incrementally.
• Deliver case studies showing impact while tackling high-difficulty problems via rapid prototyping.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners (Magic Leap, Google, Adobe, etc.).
• Publish blogs/papers, give talks, join panels to amplify Wayfair’s tech brand.
• Offer technical guidance across product, engineering and enterprise groups; own tasks end‑to‑shipping.
