Job summary

Performix in Smyrna, GA is seeking a hands-on MAS Technician to execute day-to-day prototype assembly and maintenance. You will set up and modify MAS mechanical systems, troubleshoot prototype electronics, and ensure a safe, organized lab environment while handling parts and documentation.

Applicants should have an Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and 3–5 years in a related field, with ability to read blueprints and use standard tools.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a related technical discipline.
  • Working knowledge of model assembly, prototype build processes, and laboratory safety practices.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply blueprints and drawings.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel, and Windows applications.

Responsibilities

  • Execute MAS tasks with accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to standards.
  • Set up, maintain, and modify MAS mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Conduct basic analysis and troubleshooting of prototype electronic circuits.
  • Support a clean, safe, and organized MAS and lab environment.
  • Document prototype builds and inventory activity clearly and concisely.
  • Operate cranes, forklifts, lifting devices, and industrial scales as needed.
  • Adhere to safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
