Job summary

The role encompasses the full lifecycle of prototype parts, from receiving components to shipping finished items, while maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.

You will perform MAS tasks, set up and modify systems, and troubleshoot prototype electronics. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in a related technical field and blueprint-reading ability.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in a related technical discipline.
• Knowledge of model assembly, prototype build processes, and lab safety practices.
• Understanding of mechanical systems and basic electrical operation.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and fabrication equipment.
• Familiarity with analog and digital electronics preferred.
• Strong computer skills: MS Word/Excel and Windows.
• Ability to obtain forklift and crane certifications.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Execute MAS tasks with accuracy and efficiency per established standards.
• Set up, maintain, and modify MAS mechanical systems and equipment.
• Conduct basic analysis and troubleshooting of prototype electronics.
• Maintain a clean, safe MAS/lab environment and proper workspace organization.
• Document prototype builds, inventory activity, and shipping/receiving clearly and concisely.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, and lifting devices for handling heavy equipment.
• Follow safety, environmental, and quality procedures; support continuous improvement.
• Provide assistance with lab testing activities and reporting as needed.
