Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the Prototyping Integration Facility at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. You will design and fabricate prototype and limited-manufacturing programs for C5ISR systems, contributing to hardware development and testing.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, guiding technicians, and collaborating with engineers to ensure quality, safety, and logistics. A Secret Clearance (US citizenship) is required; prior experience with MIL-STD connectors is

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field with 3 years of related experience.
• Experience with fabrication of electrical connectors, MIL STD data and power connectors.
• Experience overseeing manufacture of components using injection molding, sheet metal, and machining for electrical connectors.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance (US citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Design and fabricate prototypes/limited manufacturing programs for C5ISR programs.
• Contribute to development of concepts, data packages, and oversee hardware fabrication.
• Perform preliminary designs, tests, measurements, and system analyses or simulations.
• Assist CAD designers in developing electrical designs of products.
• Collaborate with engineers to address quality, safety, and logistics concerns.
• Prepare test plans to demonstrate design package effectiveness.
• Provide estimates for work and track expenditures with customers.
• Prepare data and documentation; mentor electronics technicians or junior engineers.
• Work independently with limited supervision.
