Job summary

Chervon North America, Inc. is seeking a Front End Product Engineer in Naperville, IL to translate customer insights into working prototypes for power tools and outdoor power equipment.

You will move concepts to prototypes across Product, Research, Design, and Engineering teams in a hands-on role. The role demands 5–7 years of hands-on product development, strong CAD skills, and the ability to drive projects with technical judgment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant engineering experience in product development, rapid prototyping, or hands-on technical environments.
• Demonstrated ability to design, build, and test physical prototypes.
• Experience with 3D CAD software.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem solving abilities.
• Ability to independently drive projects from concept through prototype validation.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous environments with evolving requirements.
• Mentor or guide less-experienced team members on prototype development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Researchers, Designers, and Engineers to identify unmet needs and future opportunities.
• Design, build, test, and iterate physical prototypes across appearance and functional concepts.
• Develop CAD models to support prototype construction and concept evaluation.
• Integrate sensors, motors, and electronics in prototype solutions.
