Job summary

Chervon North America is seeking an experienced Front End Product Engineer in Naperville, IL. This hands-on engineer translates customer insights into working prototypes, moving from concept to prototype while collaborating with Product, Research, Design, and Engineering teams.

The role emphasizes rapid prototyping, CAD development, and integration of electronics and mechanical systems to evaluate future opportunities in power tools and outdoor equipment. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of hands-on product development, rapid prototyping.
• Experience designing, building, and testing physical prototypes.
• Experience with 3D CAD software and rapid fabrication methods.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and driving projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to identify unmet needs and opportunities.
• Design, build, test, and iterate prototypes from concept through validation.
• Develop CAD models to support prototype construction and evaluation.
• Integrate sensors, motors, batteries, and embedded electronics into prototypes.
• Collaborate across North America and internationally to advance innovation initiatives.
