Job summary

Fiber Global Inc. in Lafayette, IN is seeking an Assembler to support our R&D team by building and testing cabinetry prototypes using Forged Fiber Board (FFB). This role focuses on precise assembly of panels, frames, doors, and hardware while following blueprints and work orders.

The Assembler will perform quality checks, provide feedback on materials and designs, and collaborate with engineers and craftsmen throughout the prototype development process in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Qualifications

• Must have basic understanding of mechanical assembly and fabrication processes.
• Experience with following blueprints and work-orders is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble FFB-based cabinetry components (panels, frames, doors, hardware) with high accuracy.
• Follow detailed assembly instructions, blueprints, and R&D work orders.
• Perform quality checks, measurements, and report material or design feedback.
• Collaborate with engineers and craftsmen during iterative testing and refinement cycles.
• Document assembly processes and results for R&D records and use-case development.
• Maintain a clean, safe workstation following 5S and safety standards.
• Prepare prototypes for internal testing, photography, or customer demonstrations.
