Job summary

Intone Inc. seeks a Prototype/Assembly Technician for a 12-month contract based in Sunnyvale, CA. The role blends prototype rework, repair, assembly, QA, and electrical testing to support product development and validation.

Responsibilities

Assess condition of returned prototype units, confirm failure modes and perform root-cause analysis.
Run prototype units through prescribed functional tests based on reported defects.
Disassemble units per SOPs and perform visual inspections related to failure symptoms.
Perform component and module exchanges to isolate failures.
Document work performed on each unit in a thorough and consistent manner.
Assist with scaled prototype assembly and disassembly, including small pre-production units.
Flash, program, and calibrate prototypes and testing equipment per SOPs.
Run software scripts and basic commands using Linux, macOS, and PC command lines.
Use electronic analysis tools to perform systematic QC of electronic assemblies.
Perform light soldering to repair electrical components.
Communicate findings with design engineering teams through clear documentation.
Identify quality variations and propose appropriate solutions.
Use text, photos, and videos to convey assembly processes and findings to team members.
Propose and implement process improvements, including SOP updates, to increase efficiency.
