Job summary

Quala is seeking an Electrical Rework Prototyping Technician to support a prototyping engineering team in consumer electronics hardware development through board-level rework, electrical troubleshooting, and rapid prototyping with Arduino and other microcontrollers. This on-site role in Redmond, WA emphasizes lab safety, documentation, and responsive status reporting.

Qualifications

• SMT rework up to 0201 components under magnification with inspection and verification.
• Ability to work independently, clarify incomplete requirements, prioritize requests, escalate and communicate progress.

Responsibilities

• Perform board-level rework from schematics, assembly drawings, and rework instructions; diagnose faults; and modify components as needed for build and prototype testing.
• Coordinate rework requests, clarify priorities and requirements, provide status updates, and document completed work.
• Build and debug rapid prototypes using breadboards, microcontrollers, sensors, wiring, power supplies, and lighting or actuator controls; document wiring, firmware, and operation.
• Support prototype and engineering builds by isolating and resolving electrical issues, then communicate root cause, repair status, risks, and next steps.
