Job summary

IBA, headquartered in Belgium, is seeking engineers in Seattle to maintain and deploy the Proton Therapy System (PTS) for varied customer needs. You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software aspects, perform routine maintenance, and support site operations under the Site Leader’s guidance.

You will collaborate with clinicians and engineers to ensure system readiness, safety, and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and deploy the Proton Therapy System (PTS) for various customer needs, including testing, troubleshooting, and experimentation.
• Troubleshoot PTS equipment including electrical, mechanical, and software problems.
• Perform maintenance of the PTS including routine preventative maintenance, system upgrades, and corrective maintenance as necessary.
• Perform system inspections and clearly communicate the status of the system to leadership as well as to IBA employees.
• Provide support to PTS Hardware and Software testing.
• Support daily clinical operations for the customer clinical staff as defined by the Site Leader in accordance with site policies.
• Support the PTS in all phases, which will include but not be limited to, unit testing, integration testing, validation testing and other various site related activities as the Site Leader defines them.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
