Symmetrio is seeking a full-time Field Service Engineer based in Stamford, CT to support proton therapy systems at customer sites.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot complex equipment, and document interventions while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires travel, flexible shifts, and the ability to work independently with customers.

It offers $40-$42 per hour and a competitive benefits package, with some weeks exceeding 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4–6+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Experience with radiation therapy equipment or proton therapy systems preferred.
• Strong electrical/electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot, test, and maintain proton therapy systems at customer sites.
• Provide on-site technical support including preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, software, and control systems to restore equipment performance.
• Monitor system operation and communicate status to customers and internal teams.
• Maintain service tools, on-site spare parts, and inventory for field support.
