Position Overview:

We’re seeking a technical Product Manager to join our Platform team and oversee our smart contract security initiatives. You will help expand the Superchain by ensuring protocol developers can safely deploy, upgrade, and manage their smart contracts—critical components of the OP Stack and the protocol powering Optimism. You will collaborate with engineers, other product managers, and our security team.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with engineers on our EVM Safety team to develop platforms and tools for secure smart contract deployment.
• Manage highly technical products like the OP Contracts Manager, overseeing their rollout, monitoring, and success metrics.
• Conduct user research with protocol developers, the Optimism Security Council, and other stakeholders to understand security and usability needs.

What we’re looking for:

• 4+ years of product management experience.
• A proven track record working on products in security-critical or adversarial environments.
• Strong strategic thinking and clear, concise communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with technical products; previous software engineering experience is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with the EVM is beneficial, but eagerness to learn and adapt quickly is essential.
