Job summary

Enlaza Therapeutics seeks an Associate Scientist, Protein Engineering, to advance antibody and VHH programs. You will design and execute cloning, expression, purification, and characterization studies, collaborating across teams.

The role emphasizes high-quality experimental execution, data analysis, and documentation in a fast-paced biotech environment. The ideal candidate will contribute to affinity maturation, developability improvements, and timely communication of results while growing

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field with 3+ years (MS) or 5+ years (BS) of lab experience.
• Hands-on molecular biology, cloning, mutagenesis, and plasmid prep experience.
• Experience with recombinant protein expression/purification from E. coli and SDS-PAGE/Western blotting.
• Strong organization and ability to manage multiple experiments and priorities.
• Excellent communication and ability to present findings in group settings.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and analyze experiments using molecular biology and protein engineering methods.
• Support antibody and VHH engineering, including affinity maturation and developability improvements.
• Produce and characterize recombinant proteins from bacterial systems and perform analytical assessments.
• Perform protein characterization assays and communicate results to project teams.
• Maintain accurate ELN records and collaborate with cross-functional scientists.
