Moderna seeks a Scientist to lead in vitro selection and cell-surface screening of viral and bacterial antigens, shaping high-throughput mammalian display platforms to advance antigen optimization and candidate maturation.

You will guide experimental design, collaborate with computational design teams, and drive scalable screening campaigns that accelerate discovery across multiple programs, including de novo proteins and minibinders, contributing to vaccine antigen development.

Qualifications

• PhD required or equivalent in relevant field.
• Demonstrated ability to drive complex screening campaigns end-to-end.
• Deep expertise in mammalian display systems and high-throughput selection.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of in vitro selection and cell-surface screening campaigns.
• Design and run high-throughput mammalian display campaigns for complex glycoproteins.
• Build scalable screening systems that replace resource-intensive assays.
• Develop advanced in vitro selection capabilities and expanded display modalities.
• Collaborate with computational design teams to generate high-quality datasets.
