Moderna’s Norwood, MA co-op program runs January 18th through June 25th, 2027. The Structural Biology Research Co-Op provides hands-on exposure to crystallography, protein structure modeling, and lab robotics within Infectious Disease programs.

You'll work with experienced scientists, gain practical experience in a regulated biopharmaceutical environment, and contribute to ongoing lab initiatives while maintaining safety and documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's STEM program.
• Foundational laboratory skills.
• US work authorization without sponsorship.
• Interest in structural biology and learning new techniques.

Responsibilities

• Learn X-ray crystallography techniques with experienced scientists.
• Prepare proteins, solutions, and screens for X-ray experiments.
• Design experiments and operate laboratory robotics for screening.
• Model and refine 3D protein structures with crystallography software.
• Collaborate with Cryo-EM scientists.
• Maintain documentation and ensure safety/compliance.
• Support lab organization and training assignments.
