Job summary

Moderna is seeking a winter/spring co-op in Norwood, MA (Jan 18, 2027 – Jun 25, 2027). You will join the CMC Development organization to help design manufacturing processes for mRNA medicines, with hands-on work in synthesis of mRNA, lipid nanoparticles, and formulation for clinical trials and licensure.

This is an in-person, site-based role with no remote option. You’ll collaborate on scale-up, technology transfer, and process control strategies, and you’ll document results in formal reports

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in a relevant field.
• Strong fundamental scientific and engineering skills for evaluating experimental data.
• Laboratory skills applicable to bioprocess development and analytical methods.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of experts to learn technology and techniques.
• Generate experimental results, analyze data, and document in formal reports.
• Perform process scale-up, support technology transfer and manufacturing support.
• Contribute to planning, design, execution, and risk assessments to establish process parameters.
