Job summary

Pilgrim's Protein Conversion Production Manager role leads operations in a pet food ingredient and protein conversion facility. You will oversee daily conversion and rendering, ensuring safety, quality, sanitation, and environmental compliance while guiding hourly teams and aligning objectives with upper management.

Requires 5 years in poultry/food manufacturing or management, a high school diploma or GED (college degree preferred), and strong communication, decision-making, and math skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• 5 years in poultry, food manufacturing, or management.
• Strong communication, decision making, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work with diverse teams and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage production within the facility and meet goals.
• Monitor department performance to achieve efficiency, yield, and quality.
• Provide direction to supervisors to foster teamwork toward targets.
• Ensure compliance with USDA, OSHA, and quality specs.
• Conduct plant inspections and uphold safety practices.
• Drive process improvements using production data and downtime metrics.
• Enforce safety programs and investigate incidents as needed.
• Take on additional duties to support Operations.
