Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Director of Maintenance for the Protein Conversion & Pet Food unit. Lead a multi-location maintenance team across sites including wastewater, rendering, and steam generation, with capital projects and budget accountability.

The role requires 8–10 years in maintenance leadership, strong communication, and travel 50%–75%. Relocation to one of the unit facilities is expected. Competitive base salary and bonus opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required.
• 8–10 years of maintenance leadership experience.
• Experience in poultry processing and/or food manufacturing.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Travel 50%–75%.
• Willing to relocate to one of the facilities in the unit.

Responsibilities

• Safety: Implements and enforces company safety policy.
• Process management across the business unit to drive efficiency.
• Builds and leads maintenance teams; ensures training and motivation.
• Aligns maintenance activities with corporate goals and business objectives.
• Oversees maintenance processes and measures effectiveness for continuous improvement.
• Manages the maintenance budget and cost control.
• Coaches maintenance managers for professional growth.
• Acts as intermediary between management and unit leadership.
