Farmers Insurance - Richard Rappa District is seeking Agents In Training who are motivated to build relationships and grow professionally in the insurance industry. You''ll learn to identify coverage needs and present solutions to individuals and families.

This in-person role emphasizes coaching, guidance, and a path to agency ownership. This Monday–Friday position offers base salary plus commission, access to University of Farmers training, and local support from a top-performing district team

Qualifications

• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills are essential.
• Ability to pass background checks and satisfy carrier appointment requirements.
• License in Property & Casualty and Life/Health preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Contact prospective customers by phone, email, text, and approved methods.
• Follow up with leads and prospective customers.
• Ask questions to understand customer needs and prepare insurance quotes.
• Educate customers about coverage options and sell auto, home, renters, life, business, and other products.
• Cross-sell additional products and build referral relationships in the community.
• Maintain accurate records of conversations and sales activity.
• Meet sales, activity, and retention goals and participate in training and coaching.

The Richard Rappa District Office for Farmers Insurance is seeking multiple Agents In Training (Protege Agents) who are ready to build strong customer relationships, develop professionally, and grow within the insurance industry. We are willing to train the right person who brings a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a genuine desire to succeed.

What You'll Do

As an Agent In Training | Protege Agent, you will help individuals and families identify insurance solutions that fit their needs. Your responsibilities will include:

• Contacting prospective customers by phone, email, text, and other approved communication methods
• Following up consistently with leads and prospective customers
• Asking thoughtful questions to understand each customer's needs
• Preparing and presenting insurance quotes
• Educating customers about available coverage options
• Selling auto, home, renters, life, business, and other insurance products
• Cross-selling additional products to new and existing customers
• Building referral relationships within the community
• Maintaining accurate records of customer conversations and sales activity
• Meeting individual and agency sales, activity, and retention goals
• Participating in sales training, coaching, role-playing, and team meetings
• Providing professional and responsive service throughout the sales process
• Following all agency, carrier, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Previous sales, customer service, hospitality, retail, call center, or financial-services experience preferred
• Ability to pass applicable background checks and satisfy carrier appointment requirements
• Property and Casualty insurance license preferred
• Life and Health insurance license preferred, or willingness to obtain in specified timeframe
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn agency software and quoting systems
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire for business ownership, independence, and financial growth
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships, identify customer needs, and close business in a consultative sales environment
