Qualifications

• Familiarity with confidentiality rules (HIPAA) and ability to handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Screen and investigate allegations of abuse and neglect for elderly or disabled individuals in community and facilities.
• Assess risk and determine need for intervention, coordinating with service providers and law enforcement as required.
• Gather information, document evidence, and prepare clear investigative reports for legal proceedings.
• Provide community education and participate in multidisciplinary teams to prevent abuse.
• Provide backup support to unit staff and assist with administrative tasks as directed.
